Tutorial: violetas - Violets Tutorial

Hola!! Queremos compartir con ustedes este sencillo tutorial para realizar violetas en miniatura, espero lo encuentren útil. Yo he utilizado porcelana fría para realizarlo, pero el mismo procedimiento puede ser aplicado en arcillas poliméricas adaptando donde sea necesario, por ejemplo, el curado.

Hello!! I'd like to share this simple tutorial on how to make miniature violets, hope you find it usefull. I've used cold porcelain for making it, but the same procedure can be used for polymer clay, making the necesary adaptations where needed, curing for example.

Cortar un alambre forrado de unos 5 cm de largo, y colocarle una bolita de masa amarilla en la punta. Yo usé alambre nº28. Añadir una pequeña bola amarilla en uno de los extremos.

Cut a piece of 5 cm from floral wire (I used number 28 green floral wire). Add a tiny yellow ball in one end.

Repetir hasta obtener 5 tallos con su centro.

Repeat until you have 5 ones.

Laminar masa color violeta bien fino, y con un cortante de flor de 5 pétalos (tipo "nomeolvides") cortar cinco flores.

Roll violet clay as thin as you can, and using a very small 5 petal flower cutter, cut 5 pieces (one for each stem)

Insertar la flor en el tallo desde abajo, como se muestra en la foto, y asegurar con cola vinílica.

Insert the flower into the stem and secure using white glue

Para elaborar las hojas partimos de una bolita aplanada, le hacemos una marca, seguimos presionando y cuando está bien fina realizamos otras cuatro marcas menos pronunciadas.

To make the leaves, start from a ball, flatten a little, make an indentation, keep flattening and once thin enough, make four lesser indentations

Colocarle un alambre por detrás asegurando con cola vinílica.

Place a piece of wire underneath. Secure using white glue.

Realizar cinco hojas más grandes y cuatro más pequeñas.

Make five big leaves and four lesser ones

Tomar una maceta, rellenarla con masa, cubrir la superficie con cola y colocar las cinco hojas más grandes como se ve en la foto.

Fill a flowepot with clay, cover the surface with white glue, and place the 5 bigger leaves as you can see in the picture

Colocar las cuatro hojas más pequeñas de modo que queden más adentro, más altas e intercaladas respecto de las hojas más grandes

Place the four smaller leaves so that they are inside the bigger ones, and over them

Espolvorear la superficie con follaje (yo usé en este caso yerba mate para simular musgo, se puede usar té de un saquito para imitar tierra)

Remember we had white glue all over the surface? Well, use some podwer foliage to resemble moss or earth
